Texas hunting season is long. Texas bow hunting begins around the end of September and runs for about 1 month. This gives Texas bow hunters plenty of time to be in the field. Texas gun hunters have from the first Saturday in November until the first week in January. Texas hunters have a great opportunity each season for success. Texas has a deer herd of over 4.5 million and growing. Texas hunters may find both whitetail and mule deer as well as plenty of wild hogs to hunt year round.

We at Big Bass ‘N Bucks hunt areas of Texas with a lot of agriculture and we feed our herds year round. This gives our deer all the nutrition needed to grow into monsters! We live by the old saying “everything is bigger in Texas” and so are our deer and hogs. Our hunters have taken hogs up to 450 pounds and deer live-weights up to 350 pounds. Texas hunters never know what could walk out next!

We hunt Texas Whitetails from fixed blinds, towers, tripods and the ground blinds. We hunt the Texas Mule Deer from fixed blinds and spot and stalk as guide deems necessary. If you have never experienced a spot and stock hunt, you are in for a treat. Texas Mule Deer can weigh up to 350 pounds and they stay in the most rugged country they can find. Our guides have spotted monster bucks as far away as two miles. Then they move the Texas big game hunter in as close as possible for a clean harvest. This distance could be from 100 to 300 yards.

This is a hunt. Not a guaranteed kill.

Only mature bucks will be harvested.

Excellent odds to take a 130-160 Class B&C deer.

160-190 Class B&C are out there.

A wounded deer is considered a kill. Every effort will be made to recover it.

Transportation to and from airport to hunting area is NOT included - call for price.   Airfare is client's responsibility. Lodging is included.

Trophy preparation is included (skinning for taxidermy).

Taxidermy services and butchering are client's expense.

Local vendor price list can be provided at time of hunt.

All hunters must have a valid Texas hunting license. All rules and regulations of Texas Parks and Wildlife must be followed or hunt will be forfeited.
