About Us

When you book your Texas or Wyoming hunting adventure you can be assured of working with professional  guides who know Texas and Wyoming big game. Jim Copelin of Big Bass ‘N Bucks has been locating bucks in the Lone Star state for over 20 years, plus 7 years in Wyoming. During this time, Jim has taken trophies that are world class – whether hunting in South Texas or the Texas Panhandle. He always finds the big game! When fishing the many lakes of Texas, he can usually fill the boat with whatever type of fish you want.

Jim’s 20 years of experience has taught him a great deal about when, where and how to put Texas and Wyoming trophies on the wall. He knows where the big boys are! So, if you truly want a Texas or Wyoming hunting and fishing adventure of a lifetime, then call the guides that put the customer first and the game in the bag, Big Bass ‘N Bucks!

Jim will customize a Texas or Wyoming trophy hunting adventure to meet your needs. Corporate and family outings are welcomed.

At Big Bass ‘N Bucks we hunt areas of Texas with a lot of agricultural crops, plus we feed our herds year round. This gives our deer all the nutrition needed to grow into monsters! We live by the old saying “everything is bigger in Texas” and so are our deer and hogs. Our hunters have taken hogs up to 450 pounds and mule deer live weights up to 350 pounds. Texas hunters never know what could walk out next!

We hunt Texas whitetails from fixed blinds, towers, tripods, and ground blinds. We hunt Texas mule deer from fixed blinds and spot and stalk as the guide deems necessary. If you have never experienced a spot and stalk hunt, you are in for a treat. Texas mule deer can weigh up to 350 pounds and they stay in the most rugged country they can find. Our guides have spotted monster bucks as far away as two miles. Then they move the hunter in as close as possible for a clean harvest. This distance could be from 100 to 300 yards.

We aim to please and want you to have the hunt of a lifetime.  You will come as a client but leave as our friend.
